Overview:

Buzz-o-sonic 3.0 is an audio spectrum analyzer with a frequency range of 10 Hz- 20 kHz. The speed of the PowerPC processor is utilized to calculate the frequency components of sounds (audio spectra), using a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm. Buzz-o-sonic 3.0 runs on standard Power Macintosh computers with audio input, and does not require additional hardware. Specifically, all that is required is a Macintosh Computer with a PowerPC CPU or better (G3, G4É), a PlainTalkª microphone (or equivalent directional microphone with a 0.01 - 20 kHz bandwidth), 4 MB of free RAM (8 MB or better preferred), 5 MB of disk space and System 7.x, 8.x, or 9.x. Future versions will run under Mac OS X.
