Overview:

VIRT is an imperative object-oriented programming language which was specially developed for the solving of AI problems. The main feature of VIRT is the new technology of the processing of the dynamics data structures which does not use concepts such as "pointer" and "address". VIRT has the flexible control structures and supports the concepts such as recursion, corutines, lazy evaluations, exceptions. It suits well for the theorem proving, symbolic differentiation, interpreter writing, backtracking algorithmes. However, at the same time VIRT is quite suitable for the programming of traditional tasks, for example, such as numerical methods. Therefore it provides the indivisible language environment for the integration of various data domains. In particular it can be used as a powerful scripting language.
