Overview:
After a stall of the OS or a crash of an application, the service provided by the system becomes inaccessible. Automatic Server restart devices or watchdog timers provide a mechanism to detect these situations and reboot the system. The use of a Server Restart device thus optimizes the availability of the services provided by the system The next section explains what can be expected of a well crafted solution and what services are implemented by MacCoach.
