Overview:
Grapple is a string finder for the Mac that is both friendly and intuitive to use. Originally inspired by the Unix utility grep, Grapple has evolved to be much more of a Macintosh application with a friendly and intuitive interface. Grapple is also faster than any other other string finder that we could find! Grapple is very simple to use and fun. Set up a string to find, choose where to start the search and hit the search button. Grapple then searches recursively through the folder hierarchy for files of the type (or types) chosen which contain your string. Matched strings are extracted and listed in a window for you to browse through. At the end of a search, select any file from those listed and either view it from within Grapple, have the Finder display its location or open it with the editor of your choice; all at the press of a button!
