ExtremeZ-IP File Server software adds Macintosh file sharing (AppleShare) to Windows file servers. ExtremeZ-IP File Server is the first and only Windows-based file server that fully supports Mac OS X, making it a "must have" for mixed Mac and Windows computing environments. ExtremeZ-IP File Server delivers a stable and compatible platform for Mac file sharing making it the only choice in mission critical, production servers. Since 1999, ExtremeZ-IP's performance, compatibility, ease of use and reliability has made it the Mac connectivity tool of choice among thousands of organizations worldwide. ExtremeZ-IP File Server offers support for Apple's latest version of the AppleShareIP file sharing protocol, AFP 3.1. So unlike the alternatives, ExtremeZ-IP File Server supports all the important new Mac OS X features like long file names, file sizes over 2GB on the server, single sign-on authentication using Kerberos, and true compatibility between Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X files.
