Overview:

is a Today Screen plug-in that will display and notify you of your unread messages, across all your folders and E-Mail accounts. It enhances the behavior of your Windows Mobile device to give you more control and notification options than the device provides by default.Many users sync their mobile devices with powerful E-Mail servers (such as Microsoft Exchange), which have the ability to pre-sort your messages into folders other than your inbox. When these messages are transferred to your mobile device, you have no way of knowing if these sub-folders contain new messages without opening up the mail app and manually browsing the folder list. Message Notify will monitor these folders and let you know when new messages are delivered - by displaying your email summary on the Today Screen, and playing an audible alert. Account independent configurations allow you to specify the alert tone to be played when new messages arrive and the amount of information displayed on the Today Screen*.This application is designed to be a drop-in replacement for the standard Messaging plug-in provided with the Windows Mobile platform, and will work with any email server supported by the Windows Mobile platform (including POP, IMAP, SMS, and Microsoft Exchange). In addition, it meets all the design guidelines issued by Microsoft for Windows Mobile 6 applications, and carries the "Designed for Windows Mobile 6" logo.You can customize Message Notify just like any other Today Screen plug-in. Click Start | Settings | Today | Items, then select the "Message Notify". Click "Options..." to open the customization dialog.* "Show Folder Detail" and "Show Folder Path" options are only enabled when the application is activated.NOTE: Message Notify is not compatible with devices running the TouchFlo or TouchFlo 3D shell from HTC.
