Overview:
Tux Paint is a paint program intended for young children (ages 3 and up). It has a very simple and fun-to-use interface, lots of sound effects, and a cartoon penguin who helps explain things. A variety of drawing tools are available, including a set of 'magic' special effect tools, and a 'rubber stamp' (or 'stickerbook') tool for placing pre-drawn and photographed images into a picture. Tux Paint is free software, released under an Open Source license. It has been translated into over 2 dozen languages, including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Greek and Hebrew. It also runs on Windows, Linux and BeOS.
