Overview:

AutoPlotVW is a set of macro commands for doing theatrical light plots with MiniCAD/VectorWorks from Diehl Graphsoft. It comes with a set of lighting symbols, but if the rules in documentation are followed, custom symbols may be created and used with the macros. The macros include import and export routines to exchange information with databases such as Filemaker Pro, Excel, Panorama, and LightWright 3, outside of the VectorWorks program to do lighting design paperwork. For those using the Macintosh platform there is a template for Panorama from ProVUE to do lighting paperwork with macros to do reports and schedules and facilitate exchanging information with the VectorWorks plot. These macros and symbols were developed by Sam Jones in consultation with Stan Pressner and Craig Miller. John Mckernon is also consulted about maintaining interaction and compatability with LightWright 3.
