The DevInfo 6.0 Database Administration (DA) application allows you to create DevInfo 6.0 databases which can be accessed using the DevInfo 6.0 User application. DevInfo is a database system for monitoring human development. It is a powerful tool for organizing, storing and presenting data in a uniform way, allowing data to be easily and quickly shared across government departments, UN agencies and other development organizations. DevInfo is endorsed by the United Nations to monitor progress achieved toward the Millennium Development Goals. DevInfo has features that produce tables, graphs and maps for inclusion in reports, presentations and advocacy materials. The system can be deployed both as a desktop application and on the Internet. The software supports both standard indicators (the Millennium Development Goal indicators) and user-defined indicators. DevInfo is compliant with international statistical standards to support open access and widespread data exchange. The vision that DevInfo supports is a day when UN Member States use common database standards for tracking national human development indicators, containing high-quality data with adequate coverage and depth to sustain good governance around the agenda of achieving development goals, such as the Millennium Development Goals.
