Overview:

You can use Apple's speech synthesizer to easily create audio files that you can put on your iPod. Make podcasts of blogs or other web pages. Make your own "audio books" from downloadable free e-texts of books. Create sound files saying every track in a playlist, so you can get a DJ on your iPod. This package includes several applications. Safari Selection to MP3 File Just select some text in Safari, then run this program to make an MP3 file. Clipboard to MP3 File Select text in any application, copy it, then run this program to convert it to an MP3 file. Drag-n-Drop-Text to AIFF Drag text files and convert them to AIFF files spoken by MacinTalk. TextEdit to MP3 Converts whatever is in TextEdit to an MP3 file spoken by MacinTalk. TextEdit to AIFF Converts whatever is in TextEdit to an AIFF file spoken by MacinTalk. DJ Track Names to AIFF Gives your iPod or iTunes a DJ announcing tunes and artists. Features: It is pretty much a "hands off" operation It'll use your preferred voice, chosen in System preferences. It'll use your preferred MP3 encoding rate, chosen in iTunes.
