The Bongo Buddy extends BongoUS.com's smart International Shipping service to your Firefox browser. It is the first and only Add-on that scans any web page and instantly provides you BOTH the estimated singular and consolidated shipping cost of goods to your country. You do not need to be a member or customer of BongoUS.com to make use of this Add-on. BongoUS.com customers, however, are able benefit from the Personal Shopping "Buy Now" feature. The discounted rates presented in the Bongo Buddy represent the rates at Bongo's "Subscription" service. The Bongo Buddy uses the product data BongoUS.com gathers on a daily basis from shipping a broad selection of consumer goods internationally. By capturing the dimensions and weight of these items we are able to provide accurate estimates of the cost to ship items purchased in the US, worldwide. The Bongo Buddy first attempts to match exactly a model number or product name displayed on the website you are visiting. If it is unable to locate a match in our database, it will pull a general average for the product. For instance, if you are looking at "Long and Lean (medium wash) Jeans" on Gap.com and the Bongo Buddy does not recognize the full description, it will provide a typical weight of "Jeans". The Bongo Buddy displays to prices in the "Cost" tab. The bolded price is the price to ship that item in a consolidated shipment of 15 lbs. The un-bolded, or, "when shipped alone" price is the cost to ship that item by itself internationally from the BongoUS.com warehouse. To calculate a consolidated shipment cost, press the "add to shipment logo" and the item will be moved to the "Consolidated Cost" tab. Once in the consolidated cost, you will be able to update the quantity of items you are purchasing.
