Overview:
WinDigest Tool is a public domain free tool to compute check sum values of files by using the MD5 or SHA-1 methods. This is useful in verifying and assuring the integrity of files in different scenarios. The most common scenario is when you download an application from the Internet, the download site may provide you with the check sum (digest) of the file. In such case you can verify the integrity of the downloaded file by WinDigest Tool. A positive result means the download is complete and the file is not corrupted due to some transfer error or a virus infection.
