Overview:
Calc-Electric is a program for your PC which provides a cheap and highly accurate way for you to monitor electricity consumption in your home or any building with an electricity meter. See a live display of electricity usage in a home monitored using Calc-Electric here. Identify electricity use of individual appliances, even those on standby. See your usage over time as graphs. Turn all appliances off and see if you can find 'forgotten' appliances. Accurate--uses the same meter as your electricity supplier. No electrical connection required--optically reads your meter using a Webcam. Export the data to Excel, monitor your costs long term, analyze your costs and choose better tarrifs. For an electricity monitor which lets you analyze your consumption live and lets you view your energy consumption patterns.
