Overview:

On-the-fly File Encryption SDK provides a comprehensive solution for transparent file level encryption. It allows developers to create transparent encryption products. On-the-fly file encryption is implemented as the kernel level file system filter driver which perform all neccessary complex things in the kernel mode to implement transparent encryption. Our transparent encryption engine includes also the user mode service application which is the layer between user mode clients and our kernel mode driver. This service application provide the transparent encryption engine COM based API for user mode clients. As result, you need only implement the actual routines that perform the data encryption/decryption. This dramatically simplifies the development process and decreases the time required to deliver your product to market. The following key features are supported by our transparent encryption engine: 1. File level encryption. Each file can be encrypted using a separate password. 2. Separate rules for separate files and directories. For each encrypted file it is possible to assign the appropriate decryption rule which make the encrypted file accessible. Directories can also have the rules which are applying to the all child files and subdirectories. 3. Automatic encryption of newly created files in the specified directories. The directory rules may specify that all newly created files in the directory or all files that are copied to the directory will be automatically encrypted. 4. Customization by adding custom crypto algorithms and key generators. Since our encryption engine does not contains actual encryption/decryption code, the developers should develop own crypto providers and may implement any crypto algorithms, keys and counters generators. Thus the product created using our SDK may support multiple crypto algorithms. 5. Support for all file systems. Our encryption engine supports both NTFS and FAT. 6. Support all modern Windows OS. Our encryption driver works on the following 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows - Windows 2000 SP4 + Update Rollup, Windows XP SP2, Windows Server 2003 SP1, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, and Windows 7.
