Overview:
Developed by Secrett Systems on behalf of PCProfile (www.pcprofile.com), Discovery Snapshot is a free tool to allow computer users to quickly get a count of how many executable, sound, image, video and font files they have on their computers. Many such files are subject to copyright restrictions and many (if not most) businesses have no real idea what is in the computers intheir organization - although they may have had when they deployed the computer. Discovery Snapshot will provide that count with reports in csv and htm format within approximately 2 minutes. Discovery Snapshot is designed to run from USB and saves the reports to the USB. There is no installation required, simply unpack the zip file to a USB flash disk and run it. Discovery Snapshot is a completely free tool with no restrictions on it's usage, other than the normal ones such as no reverse engineering, selling it (other than to cover the cost of media an shipping)
