ChordsterChordster is a program designed for guitarists. It can graphically displaymost of the common chord styles backed up by a database of over 4000 chords.The clearly laid out display (see the description of the ARM version of Chordster here on Handango to see some screen shots from the iPAQ version) shows part of a guitar fretboard. The chord isdrawn on the fretboard showing where the guitarists fingers are placed to playthe chord. Using the audio capabilities of the Pocket PC, Chordster is able togenerate and play any of the strings that make up the chord and even play theentire chord!Features include: Display of the fingering positions on the virtual fretboard A 4068 chord database 15 common chord styles Right-handed and left-handed guitars supported Optional colour guitar neck can be enabled complete with fret markers Guitar fingering can be drawn in normal or inverse video styles Built-in help Note names displayed at the bottom of each string that is played in a chord Sophisticated screen display shows fingers, frets, strings, deadened strings and barred strings Legend screen showing the available display symbols and what they mean Audio playing of any of the strings in a chord - or even the entire chord Tuning Mode to tune your guitar All facilities combined into a single small, efficient executable Chordster has been written for the Pocket PC running version 3.0 of WindowsCE. Versions are available targeted to ARM, MIPS and SH3 processors. A desktop version will shortly beavailable.Written by musicians, this program is an excellent addition to anyguitarist's software collection.
