The reason that you do' Insurance' is because you thinkthe other card of dealer is 10, which is 'Black Jack'. If you are correct, you can get twice of the insurance money. When the dealer has 20, which is not 'Black Jack'and if your cards are only 18, then you lose both your insurance and betting money. When the dealer lose as having only 18, while you have 20, you only win your betting money and lose the insurance money.
