Supported Operating Systems:Windows Mobile 2005 Windows Mobile 2003 SE Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC 2002 Trial version: 30day fully functional demoCurrent version: 1.1Using Sunnysoft MapViewInstalling MapView into your device:When you download the zip file you will find it contains two CAB files (COMMON1_US.PPC_ARM a MAPVIEW_US.PPC_ARM) In order for MapView to work correctly, you will need to install both, it does not matter in what order. How to create a map in your device: 1) Prepare files (scan or download a map from internet) that you want the map to contain 2) Open master file map.smv (part of ZIP file containing MapView demoversion. You will need it to work better with the application and define maps you want to work with.)3) In the first line of the open file (looks like text editor) write down MapView10. Then leave one empty line. Into the third line write down: Map, then put in names of files in the way you had prepared (in the example here below, names are substituted with numbers. It could be London2.gif, etc). Stick to the format "caps" on the condition that parts of maps which should subsequently be next to each other are in one single line, divided only by comma. The result should look for example: MapView10Map1.gif, 2.gif, 3.gif, 4.gif5.gif, 6.gif, 7.gif, 8.gif9.gif, 10.gif, 11.gif, 12.gif4) By this, your map is ready and the last thing you need to do is to copy file.smv and all its part into your PDA into one data directory. 5) Run MapView and open desired file. How to 'cut up' big maps using MapSplitterYou will need to use the file MapSplitter.exe which is also part of ZIP file with MapView demoversion. Simply open it on your table PC, search for and put in the name of map you' d like to cut up (for this you will need to have the file in jpeg.,jpg or jpe format), enter Destination-where you want to save it in your Pocket PC and the Splitter will do the work, at the end saves all the ?map pieces' into its place. You can also change parameters of map size, recommended one is already set up.How to use GPS navigationFor navigation on the map you need to insert at least 4 Control points (hold the stylus on desired place to insert the point), these Control points allow the GPS to calculate your position on the map. After inserting all control points menu allows you to use Track position option, which will then allow you to track the position. How to insert marksFor better orientation on the map it is convenient using marks to pinpoint chosen places. To insert the mark, click and hold the stylus on the place you want to have the mark. A menu will come up and you can insert the mark. After you are asked to enter the name. After confirming it, a flag icon will appear. How to search using existent marks Click on Search icon and a list of existing marks will come up. Choose the one you are looking for and confirm. Program automatically makes the choice so corresponding part of the map appears in the middle of the screen. How to move on the mapUse arrows on the toolbar or by dragging the stylus in desired direction. How to minimize/maximize the mapTo minimize and maximize maps use magnifying glass icons on toolbar. Maximizing the map is not limited, however thanks to the fact that minimizing it, more and more pictures would be uploaded to the memory (map parts), this function is limited. Further functionsSunnysoft MapView further offers the possibility to hide picture edges, view or hide mark names, hide the toolbar and task bar. All that can be found in Menu> View.
