Overview:
Buy and sell commodities while traveling around the Orient in the 1800's. Defend yourself against pirates and, if you're lucky, retire as a millionaire (or more).I've tried to make this as close as possible to the original Apple II version (with the exception of fixing the moneylender bug), but lacking source code, I had to make some guesses about odds and price ranges.Changes in 1.0.1:-- Fixed a bug that could cause a Fatal Exception error when Cash/Bank or Debt exceeded 1 Million.-- Fixed a bug that could cause a DataMgr: Index out of range error.-- Fixed a bug that could cause a crash on the Buy/Sell/Transfer page when the popup menus were tapped repeatedly at any city except Hong Kong.-- Adjusted enemy ship strength to decrease damage early on and increase it at later stages of the game.-- Adjusted the random seeding to produce a more appropriate distribution of events.-- Documentation is now included.Notes:Taipan is not compatible with LeftHack.
