Overview:

True essential oils are distilled from plant leaves, flowers, roots, seeds, barks and resins, or are expressed from the rinds of citrus fruits. It generally takes at least 50 pounds of plant material to make one pound of essential oil. For example, one pound of rosemary oil requires 66 pounds of herb. However, some oils require a much higher amount of plant or floral material. It takes 2,300 pounds of rose flowers to make a single pound of oil! This program contains over 80 essential oils and 12 carrier oils, complete with descriptions and health uses. It also includes a list of over 80 illnesses and the essential oils that can be used to treat them.
