Overview:

Ruiz Dive Log for the Palm OS is the most comprehensive and easy to use dive log application for the Palm OS. You can use your Palm Pilot to log all your dive information. Registrable version available at ruizlog.comIn version 3.0 we have added automatically calculating Pressure Groups, RNTs, and Dive Planning. You can select which dive agency's Dive Tables to use. This feature is not available in any other Palm based log application. New Version 3.0 FeaturesAuto-calculating Surface Interval TimeThe application will automatically calculate the Surface Interval Time (SIT) based on the previous dive's Out Time, and the current dive's In Time (or current time if blank). SIT time is displayed in HH:MM format. SIT will be calculated up to a maximum of 24 hours. If the SIT exceeds 24 hours, value will show as 24+.Dive Table Integration!!!We have done it!! The user now has the ability to enable the automatic calculation of Pressure Group (PG) and Residual Nitrogen Time (RNT) data. The PG and RNT data will be calculated using the dive tables from the user's agency of choice. By default, the software uses the NAUI dive tables. Users can download the dive tables from other agencies. Please see list below. The software will also allow the user to do dive planning based on the dive tables. Even if you use a dive computer, it's interesting to see how close you came to the limits of the dive tables. Calculations are based on the SIT, Depth and Dive Time values. Please note that the tables are only for no-decompression stop diving. The software will warn the user if the no-decompression limits are reached. These features are enabled on the "Options" page. For users upgrading from older versions, it is recommended they hit the "Re-calculate all now" button. On our Download Page, you can get Dive Tables from the following agancies: NAUIPADISSIYMCAColor SupportFor users of Color PDA's, the application now support color graphics. Please see screens above for the new interface. For users of Palm OS 3.5 with grey-scale support, the application also supports grey-scale graphics.Dive Buddy In the Dive Buddy edit list, you can now enter the Dive Buddy address, phone, certification agency and number. When selecting a dive buddy from the drop down list. These items will be automatically filled out!!Dive Sort List It is possible to sort by more than one item in the "Sort" page. Want to see how many wreck dives under 90 feet you have done in the Bahamas? Well, it will now show you!Emergency InformationThe user can now conveniently store emergency contact information, along with pertinent dive insurance information. Make sure your dive buddy knows how to access this information. Although we hope nobody ever has to use this, it is always better to play it safe!!Average Depth Field Divers using dive computers can now enter the average dive depth. This is a user selectable choice. Please note that dive table calculations use the max depth field.Photographic EquipmentFor those of you into underwater photography or video, you can enter detailed data about the equipment used. This can be accessed from the "Equipment" page by hitting on the button, next to "camera" Time FormatCDT, and SIT values are now displayed in the more familiar HH:MM time format.
