Overview:
eRTC Phonetic Spanish for Emergency Medical Personnel is based upon the RTC (Rapid Translation Chart) (c) communication system which is taught and utilized in Central Florida by EMT's and other medical personnel. This system allows medical personnel without any prior knowledge of a foreign language, to communicate with non English speaking patients and triage them effectively in emergency situations. The phonetic system makes knowledge of foreign language pronunciation irrelevant and allows for the most inexperienced care giver to comminucate effectively. eRTC Spanish allows for this same communication with a Latino population utilizing your Palm Pilot rather than a series of charts. It is more compact and easier to have available.
