Overview:

ECMerge compares and merges files and folders, side-by-side. ECMerge works with local files as well as SCC repositories and FTP/S servers. It provides syntax coloring for C/C , Java, HTML, ASP, PHP and many others. It let you compare easily your MS Word DOCX, RTF and OpenOffice Writer files, your source code and even your images. ECMerge saves automatically sessions and let you save your own named sessions to launch them again in one click or with the command line. It generates reports in Unix patch, XML and HTML format for Text, Images and Folder Comparisons. Its scripting is based on JavaScript core technology and let you customize your ECMerge experience, for you and all your users as an administrator. A shell extension is provided under Windows. A Linux version is available. ECMerge Can be used as a replacement of many SCC built-inmerge tool, for better display of changes and more efficient merges. The integrated XML pretty-printing filter allows great comparisons for XML files. In-line differences are detected (at word and/or character level). ECMerge edition "Pro" enables 3-way comparisons and merges.Version 2.2 build 105 has a new launcher panel with automatic sessions and workspaces, file types, Xtract converter to compare MS Word, OpenOffice Writer, and Rich Text File, many improvements and macros for folders synchronization.
