Overview:

Tangram is an ancient dissection puzzle, where the given pieces are arranged to form a variety of shapes. Historically, the game is believed to have originated in China in the early nineteenth century. The word 'Tan' means 'pieces' and 'Grams' means 'pictures'.The seven pieces ('Tans') consist of 5 isosceles right-angled triangles, (2 small, 1 medium and 2 large), 1 square and 1 parallelogram. These seven Tans can be arranged to form 2-dimensional shapes including animals, people, alphabets, objects etc. The rules of the puzzle mandate that each of the seven tans MUST be used in a shape, i.e. no tan can be left out. Further, there should be NO overlapping of tans.The interface is simple and makes use of the navigational and soft-keys to perform the basic functions such as moving and rotating the tans. You must place the 7 tans to form an exact replica and covering the given puzzle.Controls: Use the Left and Right navigation keys to scroll through the puzzles Press 'Start' to begin the puzzle The selected Tan is outlined in blue. To select a different Tan, press the 'Select' key repeatedly till the Tan of your choice is selected. Use the navigation keys to move the selected Tan Pressing the left soft key ('Rotate') will rotate the selected tan To view the solution, press 'Quit' and then select 'Solution'Features: 100 puzzles available in full version of the game Custom audio level for background music Option of resuming from last puzzle attemptedTrial Version: 2 puzzles available.
