Tipper is an indispensable everyday utility that saves time (and mathematical embarrassment) when it comes to paying the restuarant bill. Do the following: 1. Quickly calculate the total amount per person based on a tip percentage you set. 2. Evenly split the total amount between 2 or more payers. Enter the number of payers, the check's subtotal and the tip percentage. Press the calculate button and the Tip Amount, Total and Per Payer Amounts will automatically populate in seconds. Increase the tip percentage for a larger gratuity amount. Decrease the tip percentage for a smaller gratuity amount. How Tipper Helps When paying a restaurant bill, we make mental decisions on how much tip to include based on the quality of service. We then calculate the tip amount, usually adding a small fraction to the subtotal so that the final total is a round number. For example, suppose the bill amount (including tax) is $27.52. We decide to tip 15%, which is $4.13. So, the total amount including tip is $27.52 + $4.13 = $31.65. We round that up to $32.00 and sign the receipt. It's easy to write $32.00 as the total amount, but most restaurants require that a specific tip amount be calculated separately. Calculating the "actual tip" based on the total can be challenging and time consuming. Tipper saves the effort by calculating the total and displaying the actual tip amount.
