Overview:
With children and adolescents downloading and installing their own software onto mobile devices, control over these applications presents a growing challenge to parents. Many third party applications such as Instant Messaging, VOIP, and P2P file sharing can introduce new security threats, and expose underage users to illicit, inappropriate, or illegal content. SMobile's Parental Control Edition enables a parent to monitor their child's device and mobile activities via a web-based dashboard. Via this easy-to-use interface, parents can view a list of all applications currently installed on the child's mobile device. In addition, they may - monitor all SMS, MMS, and email message content, - receive alerts based on message content or sender - view phone call log information - view address book (Contacts) contents - run commands to lock, wipe, or backup data on the device By utilizing the innovative Parental Control Dashboard (https://hosted.smobilesystems.com/parental_controls/login.php), parents can easily and effectively gain insight into their children's mobile activities, as well as offering protection from the effects of device loss or theft. Security Shield software (installed on the device) communicates with the dashboard server, and also provides an additional level of protection: - antivirus and anti-malware scanning, for automatic up-to-the minute protection from the latest mobile threats - anti-spam features for filtering of calls and SMS/MMS messages, via sender number Built on top of our industry-leading mobile virus detection engine, SMobile Security Shield with Parental Control utilizes an extremely powerful set of capabilities designed and optimized for mobile devices. The Security Shield client application is supported on all major mobile operating systems. With SMobile Security Shield's Parental Control Edition. SMobile brings years of innovation and experience in the mobile security field (our sole business focus since 2002) to parents, offering complete protection for their children.
